2. Types of Data Collected

We collect and process various categories of personal data to provide our hospitality services, including:

  • Personal and contact details: First name, surname, email address, telephone number, nationality, and a copy of a valid identity document (required under Italian law).
  • Payment data: Information required for invoicing and processing payments through online travel agency (OTA) platforms or our direct payment system.
  • Browsing data: IP addresses and system logs collected during visits to our website.

3. Video Surveillance Notice

To ensure the safety of our guests and protect company assets, please note that some of our properties are equipped with video surveillance systems (CCTV).

  • Monitored areas: Cameras record ONLY outdoor areas, perimeters, main entrances, and shared passageways.
  • Privacy protection: Recording inside apartments, bedrooms, bathrooms, or any area where it would intrude upon guests' privacy is strictly prohibited.
  • Retention: Recorded footage is retained for a maximum of 24–72 hours, after which it is automatically overwritten, unless specifically requested by judicial authorities or law enforcement agencies.
  • Access: Recordings are accessible only to personnel authorised by the Data Controller.

4. Purposes of Processing

The data provided will be used for the following purposes:

  • Performance of the accommodation contract and management of bookings.
  • Compliance with legal obligations, including reporting guest details to the local police headquarters through the "Alloggiati Web" portal and submitting statistical data to the Tuscany Region.
  • Administrative and accounting management.
  • Operational communications relating to your stay (e.g. digital check-in instructions).

5. Data Sharing

Your personal data will never be sold to third parties. It may be shared exclusively with:

  • Law enforcement agencies and government bodies as required by law.
  • IT service providers, channel management platforms, and cleaning/maintenance partners (limited to the information strictly necessary to provide the service).

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

Under European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR), you have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure (the right to be forgotten), restriction of processing, or to object to processing. To exercise these rights, simply send an email to privacy@myhost.it.
